“Giving birth is one of the biggest, if not THE biggest, events of your life. To have Mandy by my side was like having the most stable cheerleader. She brought a level of confidence and experience to the whole pregnancy and birthing process. She was knowledgeable and kind. My baby ended up being breach at 37 weeks. At 40 weeks, we chose to have an external Cephalic version (ECV) to try and flip her. Mandy was there. She held my hand the whole time and coaching me through breathing and cheered me on. Our baby girl did not flip despite our best efforts. At the recommendation of my birth team, we made the decision to go into a c-section. Mandy was there. While my husband held my hand, Mandy was there bringing excitement and knowledge through out the whole procedure. She even took videos and pictures that I’ll cherish for the rest of my life. I’ll forever be grateful that we chose Mandy for this exciting time of our lives and I recommend her to anyone looking for a stable cheerleader to bring you to the finish line of your birth experience.”

I reached out to Mandy for her doula services not really knowing what a doula is or does, but had heard repeatedly that I needed one since I was pregnant with my first. I’m so glad I did! I had so many fears and uncertainties about giving birth, and felt so overwhelmed without any idea of where to start or what to research. Mandy gave us so much useful information and truly prepared us for the experience of birth without scaring us more. Although I had hoped to give birth at her birthing center, due to complications, we ended up having a hospital birth. Because of those complications, it was a scary and intense experience, but Mandy was there for us through it all. Running on only a few hours of sleep herself, she was not only helpful in explaining what choices we had, and supporting us and our birth plan, she was a cheerleader and such a calming influence for me during one of the scariest and most difficult moments of my life. She went above and beyond for me and my family, and we are so blessed to have had her there through the whole process. Although it was not what I had hoped my birth story would be, she helped me walk away from it feeling empowered, and stronger than ever when it could have been very traumatizing. She obviously deeply loves what she does and the people that she helps. “
